C3-Wireless, LLC, a
consulting company specializing in mission-critical wireless
networking services, recently completed multiple wireless site
surveys and installations for the #114 rated Fortune 500 and #1 Fast
Food Corporation in the United States. When too many customers started complaining about unreliable connectivity at several corporate-owned service plazas in Massachusetts, C3-Wireless was hired to upgrade their systems to a more robust solution. The new solution now provides access to hundreds of customers without downtime or constant reboots. For each site, C3-Wireless completes an RF spectrum analysis and creates a predictive model using sophisticated software that starts by inputting the RF characteristics of the site's construction and the anticipated placement and configuration of access points. Next they calculate the signal propagation and identify potential coverage and capacity issues. "What if" scenarios are then possible by adjusting the model and seeing the changes in real-time. After C3-Wireless identifies the initial placement of access points, they then temporarily place the access points and antennas in the proper areas according to the virtual site survey. From there, they completed a full onsite manual site survey, measuring for signal strength, signal-to-noise ratio (measuring a signal's viability), interference, and data rates.
